THE CHALLENGE

Client was happy and successful in their field, but were looking at a merger or buyout, so they needed to be operationally perfect.

This client had dealt with many – if not most- of our fellow Mac specialists, so they had a decent and working set of solutions already in place.

We still found a lot to optimise, including a few areas where applying best practices can have a huge impact on business continuity.

OUR SOLUTION

Client was relying on an old PC server that needed some love to keep it going until it could be retired. They had assumed their cloud data was safe, but we made sure they also had local (and offsite) copies of everything in case of a disaster.

We optimised their Adobe and Microsoft licensing, saving them a considerable portion of their budget.

We also optimised on-boarding and off-boarding by implementing custom forms and databases. We improved their password safety by implementing an enterprise-grade password policy.

By implementing a proper helpdesk system for them, we reduced time to fix, and a system for projects that meant nothing fell through the cracks.

We found local companies to do interstate work and managed those projects and the clients needs, even as they rapidly expanded – one interstate office went from 5 people to 25 people in 6 months.

RESULTS/IMPACT

We were able to demonstrate compliance which allowed the users to continue accessing secure external services. This literally saved the client’s business, but that’s only the start of the benefits from having Servicemax on your side. The client was also able to enjoy improved efficiency from their employees, better communication, access to business data, and cybersecurity and safety were improved.

ONGOING SUPPORT

After some time, the client decided that their planned merger wasn’t going to go ahead.

The partnership from Servicemax ceased at this point, and we were very proud to have been able to help them through the process, while also uncovering some bonus efficiencies and improvements for them along the way.

Sometimes great results take time, but for this client we managed rapid improvements.
